It’s a new school year at Wolf! This year, we are thrilled to welcome 4 new staff members to our team. We’ll be introducing each of them over the next few months. Today, get to know Emily Aliotta, a new Teacher Assistant at Wolf!
1. Can you briefly tell us about your background?
I attended Northeastern University, where I studied psychology and education. During my time in college, I was a substitute teacher at a local K-8 school and later interned with the guidance counselor at that school. After I graduated, I stayed in Boston and worked as a Behavior Coach, where I facilitated Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP) to folks ages 4-60 years old, targeting their anxiety, OCD, and various phobias. Now, I am living in Providence and enjoying my time here at the Wolf School!
2. What motivated you to want to work in a school setting?
My passion for education and desire to work with children motivated me to work in a school setting. I am truly honored to be part of preparing this next generation to be citizens of the world.
3. What is the most rewarding part of working with Complex Learners?
The most rewarding part of working with Complex Learners is being able to witness their incredible progress in not only academics, but also social-emotional skills.
4. What is your favorite part about working at Wolf so far?
My favorite part of working at Wolf so far is easily the wonderful community. It is my first year working here, and I feel so welcomed by the teachers, students, and their families.
5. What is your favorite way to spend a day off?
My favorite way to spend my day off is by sleeping in and beginning my day with a workout class, then making a huge pancake breakfast, and later spending the rest of my day with my friends!
Welcome to Wolf, Emily! We are so thrilled to have you at Wolf and can’t wait to see the impact your energy, enthusiasm, and expertise will bring!
