Along with welcoming new families to Wolf this year, we were thrilled to welcome 9 new staff members to our community! Joining our team of incredible Occupational Therapists this year is Paige Etheridge. Learn more about Paige in this month’s We Are Wolf interview!
1. Can you briefly tell us about your background before coming to Wolf?
Before coming to Wolf, I worked in a public school in a special education classroom as a behavior specialist. I would support special education students in their general education classroom during challenging transitions and subjects. We would focus on social coaching, modifying material, and implementing strategies to help students have successful days.
2. What inspired you to want to pursue OT in a school setting?
I have always enjoyed working with kids with disabilities and wanted to find a career where I could work with kids but also have fun. I worked with an OT during a summer camp program and got to pick her brain and learn more about the field before committing to the program at my school and I am so happy I did because I love what I do.
3. What is your favorite part of your day at Wolf?
My favorite part of my day at Wolf is having fun while learning new things with the kids and watching their personalities shine!
4. What has it been like immersing yourself in the Immersion Model© and getting to collaborate with your fellow team members?
Using the Immersion Model© has been great! I love being able to bounce ideas off the other staff members and make the lesson interactive, fun, and outside the box.
5. What is your favorite holiday to celebrate and why?
My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving because I get to spend time with my family and eat some really yummy food!
Welcome to Wolf, Paige! We are so thrilled to have you here and can’t wait to see students shine thanks to your expertise, energy, and dedication! To learn more about other Wolf Staff, read some of our past We Are Wolf interviews!
