After many months of a thorough interview process, The Wolf School is thrilled to share that Courtney Dubois will be joining the Wolf community as our new Assistant Head of School starting on July 1st.
Courtney has been an educator for over 21 years in both public and private school settings. Most recently, Courtney has been serving as the Learning Skills Specialist and Early Childhood and Lower School Curriculum Coordinator at Lincoln School. In this role, she developed her leadership skills, facilitated professional development opportunities, provided one-to-one and small group instruction in grades K-5 specific to reading, writing, executive functioning, social-emotional learning, and sensory regulation, coached and supported teachers, and collaborated with outside providers to develop individual learning plans. During her twelve years at Lincoln School, Courtney made a tremendous positive impact and we know the same will be true for her return to Wolf.
While this is a new role for Courtney, she is not new to Wolf, as she was a special education teacher at Wolf from 2007 to 2012. After her departure, Courtney remained passionate about staying connected to Wolf and continuing to help Wolf advance our mission. By joining our Board of Trustees in 2017, Courtney has been an active member over the past 6 years as part of the Education, Research, and Technology committee as well as helping guide Wolf through COVID-19 and our most recent strategic plan.
Familiar with our model, students, and community, we have every confidence that Courtney will shine in this new role and Courtney is equally as excited to be returning to Wolf. Courtney shared “I became a special educator because I believe that every student should be given the opportunity to be educated in an environment that celebrates them as an individual and as a learner. That is exactly what is happening at Wolf and I couldn’t be more excited to be able to return to this dedicated community and get the opportunity to work with the immensely talented faculty, wonderful students, and passionate families.”
This is an exciting time for Wolf and we hope you will all join us in welcoming Courtney to our school!
