This month’s We Are Wolf interview is with Chelsee Angevine! Chelsee joined Wolf this year as our new Administrative Assistant and has been a fabulous addition to our community! Learn more about Chelsee below!
Can you briefly tell us about your background?
I’ve been working in education for over 10 years. While I pursued my degree in English, a summer job as a paraprofessional in a special education program veered my passion toward working with children. I then spent several years working as a paraprofessional in various special education settings as well as working as an in-home ABA therapist. For the past several years, I have been teaching my own Pre-K class, and most recently I taught Kindergarten.
What motivated you to want to work at Wolf?
While I loved teaching, I missed working with complex learners and their families. I also felt my strong organizational skills could be better utilized in an office setting. Finding this position at Wolf felt so perfect! The more I learned about the school, the more I fell in love. I knew I needed to be part of this!
What’s been your favorite part about working at Wolf so far?
Without a doubt, my favorite part of this job has been getting to know the students. From small interactions, while they’re delivering a message to watching their weekly presentations at All School Assembly, I love getting to know their individual personalities and I’m excited to watch them grow. I’m so thankful that the position I’m in still allows me to work with students and families, especially the amazing ones we have at our school!
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
After school, I love taking dance and group fitness classes, like Zumba, which I also taught for 10 years! On weekends, I enjoy exploring new towns across New England, hosting parties for my friends, and spending lots of time with my cat, Sofrita.
