Kicking Off 21 Days Of Holiday Tips
Batten the hatches, the holidays are coming!
We’ve all felt it – the stress of shopping and gift-giving, cooking and visiting picture taking and party going, and all the other traditions and expectations. It makes you want to hide in the basement and come out with the groundhog in February!
For parents of Complex Learners, that feeling intensifies as your child’s sensory and social difficulties go into overdrive and become harder to manage.
So, starting tomorrow, December 1, I’ll post a tip every day for twenty-one days to help you stay in the game! You might know some of these things and already put them into practice each year, but it doesn’t hurt to get a little reinforcement and validation for your hard work! And I hope you add your own ideas, strategies, and questions in the comments below so we can learn from each other.
I’ll add links to resources and other articles whenever I can, and please share links to whatever you think is helpful. We’ll build our own Holiday Resource Manual for Complex Learners, and have a little fun along the way!
